Safety

TaurTek kits meet all government standards for safety. Our kits utilize special safety belts, coupled with a bucket seat design, to hold your body in place in the event of an accident. Our safety belts may at first glance look somewhat similar to the traditional shoulder-and-lap belts in a standard car, but they are in reality very different. They are made up of three parts: one shoulder belt that is pulled diagonally across the chest and is connected to a "lap" belt that runs across the occupant's front legs. This unit is also connected to a third belt that runs behind the occupant's back (this replaces the standard seatback). The complete unit fastens into the seat belt anchor mounted between the transmission tunnel and the seat. The seats are designed to grip your body so that you will not be injured in a side impact collision. This entire system works with the car's airbags and crumple zones to keep you safe.
